I know, I know. I say this every time. It’s true every time as well. However, this time it’s extra true. This one is special. I’ve worked with a collaborator once before (Achim Breiling on the Professor Pepper album), but for “Tape Concerto”, all the pieces were written especially for individual musicians and their instruments: Guitar, Trumpet, Woodwinds, and Recorders as well as “Heavy Metal Band”(?!).

I’m very grateful to Rainer, Francisco, Michael, Verena, and Louis Cypher for lending me their time and talents. I hope you enjoy their playing as well. All the songs are quite different from each other, but still, there is an overarching concept. I hope you like this one.
